  1. Former Chief Secretary of West Bengal Rajiv Sinha on 7 June, 2023 was appointed as the State Election Commissioner. 
  2. Australia men’s cricket team defeated the Indian men’s cricket team by 209 runs in the finals and clinched the title of World Test Championship at The Oval, London, United Kingdom.
  3. On 11 June 2023, Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the first-ever National Training Conclave aimed at strengthening the training infrastructure for Civil Servants across India at an event held at the International Exhibition and Convention Centre, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
  4. The 71st edition of Miss World will be hosted in India in November 2023, after 27 years since the last time it was held in 1996.
